WE ARE FUSSY ABOUT WHERE WE PLANT TREES
We only plant trees on and around the Equator - It has been proven that Trees planted within 50 degrees North or South of the Equator absorb far more CO2 than those planted in the Northern or Southern hemisphere, and therefore play a greater role in tackling Global Warming.

Of course some of the world’s poorest, and most under developed countries lie on or near the Equator too....

Treasured Trees works with local community projects in developing countries to enable people to have access to, care for; and benefit from trees! In 2010 Treasured Trees supported the plantation of over 10,000 sponsored trees!!!

IN 2011 WE WILL BE SUPPORTING THE FOLLOWING PROJECT(S)

BANGALORE TREE PLANTATION We are currently supporting community tree planting projects in Bangalore, India.
	Aswell as demonstrating some of the Worlds most extreme cases of poverty, India has the fewest trees per head of the population than anywhere else. The people of India have the greatest respect for trees, with tales of Trees featuring in Buddhist and Hindu fokelore and traditions.

Our community tree project in Bangalore encourages local villagers and children to participate in environmental awareness activities and of course Plant Trees! The main plantation activities focus on planting and maintaining fruit and medicinal trees in publicly accessible areas. This includes planting hardy trees such as; Teak, Ashoka and Neem.

CLEAN AIR FOR ALL!
Although we plant trees internationally, Carbon Dioxide and Oxygen are free flowing gases, it is inevitable that you, I and the rest of the world will beneift from Treasured Trees.
